COMAT is a Research Group at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Genoa.

The research activity of the group is devoted to the computational modelling of advanced materials, integrating simulations with experimental investigations to support both fundamental research and industrial applications.

Thermodynamic modelling is based on the CALPHAD approach, applied to complex multi-component and multi-phase systems such as superalloys, ceramics, and high-temperature materials.

COMAT is also actively involved in the development of thermodynamic databases, including GHEA (Genoa High Entropy Alloys), a database designed for advanced alloy systems, including Superalloys and High Entropy Alloys (HEAs).
